Last night we had our first experience with the new Happy Meal from McDonalds which was launched on November 18th. This new Happy Meal is similar to the old one but now, it included the “Apple Dippers” which was once an option to replace the french fries.
The apples we were given were the diced ones that were for the oatmeal. I’m sure it was a mistake but whatevs.
The Happy Meal itself has no other changes. It’s what you and your kids are used to getting, the main course, french fries, a drink and now…the apples aren’t an option. Those are handed to you in the first window, after you pay.
OK. So. I was contacted by one of the lovely ladies of the Marx Layne PR firm in Farmington Hills. Would I be interested in co-hosting an event at a local McDonalds?
Sure. Why not.
Local lady friends ‘o’ mine and your kidlets, I cordially invite you to join me at the McDonalds in Warren, Mich on November 30th from 4-6 pm. Your children will be given a free, new and improved Happy Meal and they can play on the indoor play structure along with a bunch of their new friends while us MOMMIES…we get to sample the delicious oatmeal, premium salads and yogurt parfaits. AND…we get to have ADULT conversation. With other Moms in the area.
There is only room for a total of 50 of us. That’s Moms and kids total. Including me and my child.
SO, what I need you to do is…RSVP in my comment area here by November 27th. Let me know how many kids you will be bringing along with your email addy so that I can pester you to get you to commit to this.
It’ll be fun. Seriously. How could it not be, I’ll be there!!
And also, Happy Meals are so much easier than cooking dinner!!
Hey, I’m in! I have three girls so that makes four of us. Is this the McDonald’s at 12 and Mound? My kids go to school at 13 and Mound and get out at four so it should work out pretty well.
Count us in. We could swing by after bus pick-up. My (one five year old) girl isn’t a Happy Meal eater so maybe that’s a good thing? She’ll not have too many expectations or disappointments about the new offerings. You know how to find me. Happy Thanksgiving.
