What I’m NOT in the least bit OK with is, when a messenger of the troll tells me that someone doesn’t like what I’m saying.

I say…Too bad.

Really? My blog, my words. If my opinions and facts don’t sit well with you then feel free to not read my blog anymore. There are kagillions of other blogs that are way better written than mine and have much more exciting content. Move on.

It’s exactly what I tell my parents when they read one of my posts and leave comments letting me know of their disdain for the way I had conducted myself on the great wide internets. You have choices. Feel free to read, of course, I welcome readers. But if you have issues with what I say, then don’t come here anymore. I’m not changing what I say or how I say it because of anyone. This is ME here. My blog. My feelings. My heart. My life.

And if the truth hurts, or how I see the truth. Please. Don’t read my blog. I promise, I won’t be offended.

Ah yes. Lists, Lists. And probably way more lists.

I totally love the majority of the bloggers that made the Babble.com list. The ones that I read completely rock. I’m sure that the other ones do too. After all, they made “the list”.

Mom-101 has an awesome list of well deserving bloggers, as well. And she, herself, made the Babble list. Rightfully so. She is an incredible and strong voice on both Twitter and within the Blogosphere.

There are tons of other lists. There always are. But it seems that it’s always the same blogs that make the lists and win all the awards. Really? I get it. Obviously they are doing something right and they touch people in various ways. Which causes their bloggy popularity.

There are SO MANY blogs out there though. And it seems that these big list makers (Mom-101 and other blogger list makers excluded) get stuck within a particular blogging clique. They don’t expand their horizons for fear? Maybe? Of getting lost in the oblivion of the internet. Or ousted by the wrong people thus threatening to diminish their clout. Who knows.

Well. I have a list for you. Blogs that are incredibly written, informative, pretty, interesting. Blogs that are flying so low that they don’t even make a blip on your bloggy radar. Blogs that are SO underrated, they aren’t even rated. Well, some of them.

There are so many rocking awesome blogs out there that it’s not even an insult to not be on a list. It’s more of a shame that they haven’t gotten noticed. So, I hope to bring some of them to your attention. Please feel free to leave your link in the comments, if I didn’t mention your blog!

Live From The Fence has been on lists but she’s one of my faves and starting to be a good friend. So, I’m mentioning her awesome blog!

There are so many blogs out there. A bazillion mommy blogs. A kagillion other types of blogs…but those don’t matter, right? I mean, even my kids have little blogs, which they NEVER update. But they decided because I have one, they should have one too. Too cute. But if I catch any child stalker types on my kids blogs, I’ll sic my dog on ya.

Anyhoo…

So there is this new Tweeter? Twitterer? @motherhoodfilm Who twatted? Tweeted? Twitted? This morning. It was a two part question. One was something about what is your greatest accomplishment as a mother. The other part, though. She asked if there was a difference between writers and bloggers. And, by the way, if you don’t follow her on Twitter, you should. Plus, the movie comes out on Oct. 23 and it stars Uma Thurman, Minnie Driver and Anthony Edwards. It looks great and I’m looking forward to having a GNO and seeing it!

But…

I said yes. There is a difference.

Anyone can blog. Let’s be honest. All you need is to sign up for a free blogger or wordpress account, come up with a name that hasn’t already been taken and start writing about your life. It’s that easy.

The catch is. Being able to write in a way that engages your audience. Am I right? I mean, if you are talking, on a daily basis, about the consistency of the baby food you made and what color it turned your kids poop, chances are you’ll find some other bloggers who can relate. But will they keep coming back? Perhaps if you write about it in an entertaining way that is catchy and keeps the readers drawn.

You don’t have to be a great writer to have a popular blog. Have you read some of the super popular ones? But they suck you in. They write posts in a way that speak to us. That makes us talk to the screen. Or call our moms and cry to them. They make us hug our children a little tighter. And appreciate our husbands that much more.

Well written blogs aren’t necessarily written by writers. They are merely people who decided to start blogs because they felt that they had something to say.

So, is there a difference between writers and bloggers. Yes. There is.

Sometimes, you come across a blog that is both. A blog that is written so beautifully. That you spend an hour reading all the posts you can, soaking in the delicious words of that writers life.

Other times, you can’t get off that blog fast enough because the words stink like the dirty diapers they are writing about.

What do you think? Are bloggers and writers different, as Motherhood so interestingly asked. What is it about certain blogs that keep them in your reader?
Inquiring minds want to know

Oh, and leave a link to your blog and maybe one awesome blog that you read daily (besides mine, of course ). Thank you!!
