Disclaimer: I was sent the Big Buddha Grayson bag for review. No money was given to me. Not one red cent. Only a beautiful purse in exchange for my honest to goodness, transparent thoughts about it. The links are affiliate because this mom needs to make some money somehow. Kids.
I have had a love affair with Big Buddha bags for years now. I have around fifty bazillion of them. Okay, maybe six. The fact that they are so well made, extremely fashionable and affordable, what’s not to love?
I came across the Big Buddha Grayson over on Pinterest. I fell in love with it. I promised myself that, at $95, it was inexpensive enough that I would buy it for myself as a gift. I rarely buy myself stuff anymore, all my money goes toward the upkeep of children. Sigh.
Anywho. I never actually got around to buying the Grayson by Big Buddha bag for myself. Because…kids. Sigh again.
When the rep from Steve Madden contacted me and asked if I’d like one of the bags in exchange for all that stuff we bloggers do…well..if there was a real squee sound, I made it. Actually, it was more like a squeal. And, unlike some of the promised goods I’ve gotten from pitches, the Big Buddha Grayson bag showed up at my front door. In a lovely shade of Khaki.
It’s a stunner. It truly is. I transferred all my stuff from, incidentally, the Steve Madden bag I had just bought myself (it was on sale for $45 at DSW. How could I walk away from THAT?). And, I’ve been wearing it ever since.
People stop me to tell me how much they love my purse. They are quite shocked when I tell them it is Big Buddha and under $100! Because, it looks WAY more expensive than what it is due to the gold tone hardware and beading along the edges and the seemingly high quality materials of the bag itself.
It’s huge. I mean…HUGE. And it can get a little heavy. That is the only negative thing and it’s not even that bad!
So, here are the stats:
- PVC
- Double handle with 9″ drop
- Top zip closure
- Colorblock trim; gold-tone hardware; exterior back wall zipper pocket
- Interior features back wall zipper pocket and front wall double slide pocket
- 14″ W x 15″ H x 5″ D
The Grayson has a wide variety of colors to choose from. Beige, Khaki, Black, Brown, animal print and way more. Every single one of them are gorgeous. Seriously. Not even kidding.
I had no idea that Big Buddha Bags was owned by Steve Madden. Apparently, there are a lot of things I don’t know. Huh. Who knew?!
The way I see it is..I don’t feel like I’m missing out on not having super expensive bags, especially when brands like Steve Madden and Big Buddha make products similar the the more costly designer bags. And, the way I go through my purses, it makes more sense to invest in the lesser priced, equally as beautiful bags.
Big Buddha Bags Grayson retails for around $95 but you can find it for all sorts of prices, all over the Interwebs.
Big Buddha never, ever disappoints. I can not even rave enough about the Grayson bag. It’s perfect. Absolutely perfect.
