Disclosure: I was given a pair of Clarks sandals in exchange for an honest review. Trust me when I tell you, honest is what you get from me. I received nothing, other than a really awesome pair of sandals. All opinions are my own.
These sandals. They didn’t steal my heart, at first. In fact, I was only sent one shoe, at the beginning. I know, I was stunned too. So was the PR girl who pitched me this campaign. But, after everything got straightened out, the second shoe arrived in the mail.
Then I was faced with another problem. You see, it was still winter and in Michigan, sandals are not the best shoe choice when it’s below zero with piles of snow on the ground. I mean, I’m not going to judge anyone if they choose to wear sandals in the middle of winter. I’m just saying, I wouldn’t recommend it because frostbite and all.
Anywho…
It took awhile for me to be able to wear them so that I could, in turn, provide a proper review.
Now that I’ve had ample to wear them, here ya go.
I didn’t love them. Not at first. They were too tight. Or, maybe it’s that my feet are abnormally wide. Either way, I felt like I was being strangled. Well, at least..my feet were being strangled. They were
But, then they started to stretch. The more I wore them, the wider they became. Until they molded to my feet and we became one.
I wear them everywhere. And, with almost everything. I rarely leave home without my feet wrapped in the Clarks Viveca Rome sandal. People, they are so stinking cute. I have them in gold. They do come in other colors but I liked gold the best. It’s a pretty good match with almost everything I own. Except silver. Because I don’t mix metals. Although, I hear you can these days. I just haven’t yet. Maybe someday I will. But, for now..nope.
Aside from the cute and comfortable factors, let’s talk quality. They are all leather, even the sole. The tiny, 1″ heel is made of wood. I think. It looks like wood so therefore, it’s probably wood. Nice stuff. But, they’re Clarks so I think you’d expect them to be made of nice stuff, right? They are gladiator-esque with thin, leather straps. The footbed is cushioned so they are comfy to wear for the entire day.
The price is $100 on the Clarks website. These shoes are worth the splurge. Although, I didn’t have to splurge, I received them in exchange for an honest review. Which, I know I already mentioned but I think I’m supposed to include that twice within the post according to the FTC guidelines for us bloggers.
I never thought of Clarks to be overly fashion forward, they are more conservative. However, there are some really incredibly cute sandals over there on their website. And, based on how awesome these Clarks Viveca Rome sandals are, I’d consider purchasing another pair or two of Clarks shoes. For real.
If you are so inclined, you can follow them over on Facebook and Instagram. Maybe, while you’re still in the mood, Pinterest, too.
