My blog has been quiet because its writer, moi, has been plagued by that pesky thing called blogstipation..aka…WRITERS BLOCK. CURSES!!
I believe it’s partially due to the fact that, ever since my children have become these wretched teenagers and have been very aware of the fact that I blog, they constantly are uttering those words none of us parenting bloggers want to hear…”If you write about this, I’ll never speak to you again” or “Do NOT blog about this!” and any variation on that theme. In other words, my children have cursed me with the blog block. It’s been horrifying.
So, what’s a parenting/mommy blogger to do when she is no longer allowed to blog about her children? She needs to rebrand. But, while she is trying to figure out how to rebrand, she still needs to keep her fingers on the keyboard and the pageviews on her blog..even if there are only 2 visitors a day. Because hey..when you don’t write, no one has any reason to stop by anymore.
I’m so lonely. No one calls. No one writes. Sigh.
I’ve been pinning a lot. And pining away, too. I’ve created a Blogging Pinterest board that I’ve been adding tons of articles to and studying in high hopes of navigating what was once familiar territory yet now..is SO not like anything the way I remember.
One of my biggest problems has been content. What to write when the brats…er…my family won’t let me write about what just happened when they…
I’ve decided to create a list of prompts, for both you AND me. For those moments when you feel the urge to write but have no clue what it should be about.
