In my kingdom, things are peaceful here. With the exception of sudden outbursts of dogs barking at the squirrels, leaves, shadows or a neighbor walking by.
No hatred exists. As long as you don’t count the one I feel toward barking.
No wars are waged, unless all the bathrooms are occupied.
There are no borders because there are no threats..aside from the teen girls expanding mess that’s taking over the entire top floor.
Freedoms of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are the law. Unless you want to be sad, that’s okay too.
Life in the kingdom is good. On the most part. Sure, I get annoyed with the King and the royal pains…er…children. Sometimes, I even get pissed as hell. But, all in all…pretty normal.
Then, I read the comment sections in articles posted about the conflict in Israel. You know the one.
And I realize how much hatred there is in this world. Normally, I have my head stuck in the sand. I don’t like leaving my bubble of a Kingdom to venture out into the comment section of the world.
Because it’s sad.
I find it hard to reconcile the fact that there are so many people out there who hate Jews. And that the conflict has created a bigger platform of Jew bashing.
I also cant believe how much ignorance there is.
And there is so much ugliness. I don’t like ugly. It’s..ugly.
I wish the rest of the world was like my kingdom.
We’d all like each other. We could hang out and discuss things without nasty Jew-hating or Muslim-hating or Christianity-hating venom.
Because, we are all humans who share a planet and we’d like to see it survive.
We would all agree that terrorism isn’t a religion.
Because it’s not.
We would all know the difference between propaganda and the truth.
There’s a huge difference.
We’d know that Anti-Israel really translates as Anti-Jews.
And, in my kingdom, we wouldn’t stand for that
We’d also know that Anti-Hamas means anti-terrorism.
And in my kingdom, there is no terrorism.
We’d also know that just because we are anti-terrorism, that doesn’t mean we are anti-Muslim.
Because not all Muslims are terrorists.
In my kingdom, skin color, hair color, body types…none of that would matter.
What matters goes far deeper than what’s on the outside. That’s just a shell. A vessel that protects what’s inside.
My kingdom is a fantasy world. Clearly.
Beyond the moat, none of the laws of my land exist.
Beyond my kingdom, there is so much hatred.
In the US.
In the Middle East.
Right now, we are divided and I’m not sure how evenly.
You’re either Pro-Israel or Pro-Palestine.
To me, being Pro-Israel isn’t just about Israel anymore. It’s about being Jewish. And I, the Queen, am Jewish.
I’m Pro-Israel and Pro-Israel protecting herself.
That doesn’t mean I’m not Pro-Palestine. Even though I have my own feelings about Palestine.
I’m pro-Protect the Innocent, get rid of Hamas and Free Gaza from terrorists.
I’m pro-Protect the world from terrorism.
I’m Pro-figure out a solution so everyone can co-exist peacefully.
I’m Anti-Blame it on Jews.
I’m Anti-Blame is on Muslims.
When I see posts about how the Hamas should blow Israel to smithereens, I shudder because I realize how anti-Semitically fueled the comments are.
And, vice versa.
It scares me for humankind.
It worries me that my children are living in this hate filled world.
I wish I truly believed in the power of prayer.
I wish I truly believed that the God I was raised to believe in…that he was with us. With Israel. With the innocent people.
I wish I truly believed that hatred could be conquered.
I truly wish.
I just have to believe.
But for now, I’ll pretend my kingdom and its laws are reigning.
It’s much prettier that way.
Admittedly, I’m idealistic.
But, I’m the Queen here. I’m allowed to be.
