There are so many quotes from the bible about judging that I couldn’t just pick one. But basically, all the holy guys said DON’T JUDGE because hey, you aren’t perfect either.
So yeah.
But then, you go onto any of the social platforms and fingers are pointing in every direction. From every walk of life. From every area of belief.
I’ve watched AND experienced attacks based on beliefs of every kind over on Facebook.
Oh my GOD.
Just stop it already.
Please.
I know I’m being an idealist when I say this but…
Just learn to live with the fact that not everyone believes the way you do.
Not everyone lives their lives the way you do.
Not everyone is the same as you.
Live with it.
Because it’s never gonna change.
Ever.
The world is a giant melting pot. We learned that from School House Rock. Sort of.
So, you either play nice or don’t play at all.
You don’t like Gays, Blacks, Jews, Miley Cyrus, Justin Beiber, Guns, Abortion, people with blue eyes…WHATEVER…
That’s your business. You can live in your world of hatred spewing bigotry.
That’s fine.
No judgement here.
But you have no right. NONE. Vomiting your agenda of Anti-Whatever all over the Internet. (Okay, yeah…the whole Freedom of Speech thing. Still…)
Quite honestly, it’s getting disgusting already.
It’s all over Facebook. And Twitter. And the blogs.
Why all the hate?
Just reconcile the fact that not everyone believes what you do.
And move on.
According to the bible that so many seem to thump around, judgement seems to be as big a sin as everything else being claimed as sinful.
Isn’t there a commandment that says something along the lines of ‘love they neighbor as thyself’?
There is nothing after that. No exceptions. At least, not from the commandments I grew up with.
And gee, I could have sworn that those 10 little lines written on stone tablets so long ago…those were the same, across the board in the Christian-Judeo world we walk in.
I’m not big into the bible. Or religion, for that matter.
Personally, I don’t care what color you are, who you love, what music you listen to, what sort of car you drive, whether you carry concealed or not, whether you choose life or choice…
And, I expect the same sort of respect.
What about the whole ‘Do unto others…” thing?
I learned, a LONG time ago, about the whole finger pointing thing.
You point one finger and there are four pointing back at you.
