I love the holiday season.
I do.
I love the festivities with the families and friends. I love the contagious excitement of my children when they know they will be getting presents.
I love going to malls during this time of year. Crazy, I know. But I do. I love the holiday displays and being amongst all the people.
I always have.
I remember as a kid, my parents taking my sister and me to the mall to see Santa. Back then, the decorations weren’t as ornate as they are now. There was usually a giant tree with fabulous themed ornaments and Santa hanging out on his throne for us to sit on his lap and whisper gift wishes in his ear, ready to have holiday memories captured on a 5 x 7 photo.
Things haven’t changed much since I was little.
Especially at Taubman Centers.
Every year, Taubman Centers seem to outdo themselves for their Holiday visual display.
This year? Was no exception. Fabulous and stunning are not strong enough adjectives to describe the whole display.
It’s an experience. Really, it is. The sights, sounds and feel of the display are not to be missed if you live close to a Taubman Center.
Check out my Whrrl Story…
I spoke with Karen MacDonald, Director of Communications for Taubman. I asked her to give me a little bit of a background for the Ice Palace…
“The Ice Palace was conceived well over a year ago. It was a group effort at our company to develop something even more spectacular than our former decor–the Snow Globes. Our objective is to continue to provide unique additions to the Ice Palace each year with different internal content, hoping that people will make our malls a family tradition each holiday to see our decor–much like the holiday windows that change out each year at Macy’s in New York.”
I don’t know about you but, I do take my kids to Twelve Oaks Mall EVERY YEAR to see the decorations. We loved the Snow Globes the last couple of years but this year, even my teenagers want to go sit with Santa and get a family portrait taken at the Ice Palace and THAT is shocking. Because seriously? If teenagers are liking it, Taubman Centers and their designers definitely hit the mark with this one!
I can’t rave enough. This is not to be missed. The tiniest details that painstakingly went into the displays all the way to the snow falling within the dome will leave you smiling and spellbound.
Your whole family will love it.
I promise.
Go. To your nearest Taubman Center. Check it out. Enjoy it. It’s on display now and throughout the Holiday Season at 16 indoor Taubman locations.
And most of all…
Have a FABULOUS and WONDEROUS holiday season filled with warmth, love and memories.
Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post but as you know, just because it’s sponsored, it didn’t change my opinion about anything. All words, thoughts, pictures and horrible punctuation are mine. The money was from the wonderful Taubman group who I enjoyed working with.
Well now I’m wishing we had a Taubman center here!
