Oh. Uh. WOW! I'm not sure how I would feel about that. But they would NOT be positive feelings.

damn! It would totally freak me out to hear my son say he wants to make out and make sex with me when he grows up. Nice handle on the situation, though. Kindergarten is so early to be learning all that - especially when he (and his classmates) aren't old enough to comprehend it.

Yikes, you don't expect to deal with this kind of stuff at such an early age...

Read my post about teaching young kids about the birds and bees...

They pick up on all of it so quickly...I find I am avoiding daytime tv, prime time tv, news etc..but she hears stuff from her big bro (grad 2 is apparently the height of knowledge and sophistication) and we just try to downplay it as much as possible.

What is making me nuts is the girl around here and in A's class..she is 7....7 and was in heels and a mini with bare legs this weekend.

She wanted to play 'family' this wekend with A. According to him this meant laying under a blanket and cuddling. He told us NO WAY was he cuddling anybody!

heh....but yeah..what is this girl learning!!!???

If it is any consolation, I really like the way you explained what 'making sex' was.

But I completely agree with you, 5 is just too young for that! You handled it well!

OMG! That is so sad this little girl can talk of such things, and then to pass it on. Five is way to young for such things! I remember having to explain what masturbation was to my no 16 yo when she was 11. When I asked where she had heard it, it was from watching CSI with me one night. I was very careful after that what I watched with her. Sometimes these things sneak in on parents, and sometimes parents just don't watch carefully enough what their kids are watching. I can only hope that little got it from the former and not the later. Just because it's a cartoon (ie Family Guy) doesn't mean it's appropriate for little kids. *sigh* Keep us updated on the little girl's father's response, please. I hope it was just an oversight and not something wrong in the home.
