Hands.
Sweet, tiny hands. Fingers curled around mine.
Baby hand against Mommy hand.
Marveling at the perfection.
Amazed at how little.
Wondering how long it will take until those tiny hands…
those sweet baby hands…
are the same size as the Mommy hands that are holding them.
Kiss each fingertip.
Kiss the palm.
Holding hands.
Blink.
Hands.
Sweet, big hands. Holding up the middle finger in anger.
Baby…big kid hand against Mommy hand.
Marveling at how these tiny hands are no longer tiny.
Amazed at how quickly it happened.
Wondering…
how it could have happened so fast.
Pulling away as Mommy tries to kiss each finger.
Rolling eyes as Mommy tries to kiss the palm.
But…
Smiles as Mommy holds that perfect, sweet hand in hers.
it does go too fast!
And, just wait until you get to hold those tiny grandkids fingers….
HEAVEN!!!
It’s all too fast, all too fleeting. Hold ’em while you can.
Even while fipping you off they’re still sweet.
