First of all…THANK YOU! For your comments on my little pms’y pity post. I appreciate you and your support!! Big squishy hugs and wet kisses to you!!
Now…
I was contacted by this companyEcostore USA a few weeks ago. They were checking out us Michigan mom blogs because…they are coming in to Michigan. And what louder…er…bigger…er…most influential (yeah, we’ll stick with influential) voice on the internet than me…ok fine…us…Mommy bloggers!
So, this guy…we’ll call him Rand. He wanted to know if he could send me some of this stuff to try out…but the catch was…I’d have to write a review.
And I was like…sure. I can always use some household crap. And…of course I’ll write a review. But I’m going to be honest. And not lie so…send at your own risk.
So this guy…we’ll still call him Rand. He sent me out this stuff. And it’s all kinds of earth friendly and earth happy and down with earth and go earth…natural.
Can we backtrack for a second. Why does it have to be called “Going Green”? Seriously…that has all sortsa negative vibes for me. Because green is associated with envy and…well…amphibians. And I personally, could completely do without one and am subjected on a seasonal basis to the other. So…
Why can’t it be called like…dunno…”Going Back to Basics”? or…”Going Brown”? or…”Going Camo”? Anything…but WHY GREEN?
So where was I? OH YES…
I got shipped out these lovely products:

A Plant based, super concentrate Laundry Liquid…high efficiency machine friendly!! And…I love it. Really. Honestly. There is a pleasant scent…eucalyptus I believe. The laundry comes out clean and smelling very lightly of Halls cough drops…but not in a gross way!! No one broke out from it!! THAT…is always a good thing! It’s ingredients are ALL pronounceable, for example…fatty acid derivative. Or…mineral hydroxide. Yeah…that’s about as complex as it gets. So…I give this product my Rock and Drool stamp of full approval. And yes, I will buy it again. They are moving into Meijers so…I’ll be doing some shopping there!!
Now…the Naturally Antibacterial Spray Cleaner. It’s OK. Don’t love it. It makes me cough when I use it. I think it’s the zest of citrus peel. It gets right into my lungs. But…I feel like, when I spray the table and there are some wet spots…I’m not worried that it’s going to kill, harm, maim or permanently disfigure my children in any way, shape or form. The thing I’m NOT crazy about is…it doesn’t have bleach in it. So…you have to scrub…really hard. And I’m all for bleach and not having to scrub hard. But it definitely works on surfaces that aren’t super coffee stained or permanent marker scratched! And again…the ingredients are all natural and pronounceable. I like that about this stuff!! But I still love me some harsher ingredients like bleach. Especially in my house. With all those kids. Cats. And other creatures…hubby included.
The last thing I received was Lemongrass soap. Yummy. I want to eat it but…that would be gross, right? It. Smells. So. Good. And…it’s gentle. And…it. SMELLS. SO. GOOD!! It doesn’t dry out my skin any more than any other soap I use. I was selfish and didn’t share it with my kids so…I don’t know if it would dry out kids skin. What. EVER. To them!! The ingredients on the soap get a little harder to pronounce but…the main ones are sodium palmate (palm), sodium cocoate (cocoa), water and lemongrass oil. Then there are other non-harmful things. Love…this soap. Love it. And…I don’t know if I mentioned…it smells…soooo good!
The prices are comparable to other eco friendly, green products. But…since these came to my attention, are coming into my economically declining state of Michigan…I’m now, officially, partial to this product…
Which, by the way, is originally from New Zealand
Now the other catch.
I’m giving those three products away. So…if you want to win the Laundry liquid, the antibacterial spray cleaner and the lemongrass soap (did I mention…it smells so good?)…
You have a bunch of different ways to get extra entries.
Pay attention. This is going to be a little more of a thinking one.
For one entry…
Leave a comment about what, if anything, you do to be camo…OK FINE…green.
For another entry…
Go to ecostore usa and tell us which product you would want to try.
For a third entry…take my gi. gun. gi. Ginormous. Rock and Drool Badge. And put it on your blogs. I want to see my Frankenstein bride self…all over the place. Makes me shudder…er…happy.
Forth…tweet away people. You can follow me there, too. RockDrool is the name. Tweeting…my game. Shut up!
Fifth…Blog about it. K.
That’s it. That is all you have to do. And…this contest will end on Tuesday March 3 at Midnight or when I wake up on Wednesday March 4…whichever comes first.
By the way…you’ll be getting all new products. Not…the ones that I’ve already used. Because THAT would NOT make for a good giveaway, now would it?
THIS BREAKING NEWS JUST IN…from…we’ll call her Lyne…
some of the MEIJER stores have not gotten the product up but are diligently moving forward with it —we hope to be in all 185 stores by Sunday, March 1. Moms should absolutely ask the MEIJER manager “where are the Ecostore products”
Mwah!

I use re-useable bags for my groceries. No paper or plastic here!
I try to be green by using energy efficient light bulbs.
I like the toilet cleaner but I would prefer a pet shampoo if they made one for cats.
I’ve switched out all of our light bulbs. I use cloth shopping bags that I got for free.
I use my electrical appliances during the off hours when the prices are lower.
I use the new swirly light bulbs! Dont have to change them now! Plus they save energy and help my bill stay nice and low! I am also the light Police at my house and go around turning lights off in rooms nobody is in!
I try to be green by using energy efficient light bulbs and recyling.
We recycle as much as we can. This is all new to us, but it’s so much easier than I would have thought.
We had to leave Michigan not too long ago because there were no jobs for my husband. It’s really sad. Our house there sits empty with no one really looking. It’s hard to compete with a neighborhood full of foreclosed homes. Anything that will help our state, got to support.
Go Green!
I try to recycle as much as I can
We recycle and use our mulcher to keep as much out of the trash as possible. I also make my kids walk to school.
Thanks for sharing!
We recycle as much as possibe, use energy efficient light bulbs & reusable grocery bags. Btw, so glad you didn’t regift on this giveaway…ehhhh!
I do not use chemicals to clean
Everyone in the house knows to recycle paper, plastic, aluminum and batteries even the 3 year old knows.
I never put old meds down the drain or toilet. I take them to the pharmacy to be disposed of properly. Thanks for the contest.
I do not clean… maybe that would be Going Brown. We do recycle and use reusable bags at the grocery.
I’ve recycled, shopped at thrift stores, used energy conservation, mulched, and used homemade cleaners made of vinegar, baking soda, etc. for years. Because I have chemical sensitivities and a few autoimmune disorders, I never use harsh chemicals.
we recenlty started recycling EVERYTHING
I try to be green by conserving energy and water, recycling and buying eco-friendly products.
I’ve been switching to green cleaning products and recycle more.
Well, I do tons of things to be green, but the most obvious one for me is I use cloth diapers. I have three kids currently in diapers, so it is almost as though I am singlehandedly saving the planet myself…lol…

I turn off lights and unplu when not in use. I also recycle and do not use plastic.
On top of recycling we never drink bottled water we drink filtered tap water. We use cloth napkins no more paper napkins for us! All our cleaning products are environmentally friendly. We tried to eat organic and locally grown food as much as possible.
recycle the bags we do get- repurpose everything we can, and use reusueable bags at the store
laundry stuff looks good
always use cleaning supplies, my wife is germaphobic
I recycle weekly: paper, plastic, metal, etc. I also use diluted vinegar to clean – it also kills bacteria. I try to use natural products instead chemicals whenever possible. Baking soda is also another good thing to use for cleaning and lots of other uses.
We use those reusable tote bags unstead of the flmsy plastic throwaway bags…
We recycle and changed out our light bulbs.
I reuses plastic bags
Coconut Soap sounds good too
Every one needs to go green to save our wounderfull plant.
Ride a bike and eat vegan – you can’t be a meat eating environmentalist.
I have replaced all my bulbs with the “green” bulbs.
I’d like to try the Manuka Sandalwood Shampoo.
I am an avid recyler. Not only at home, but at work. I developed a recycling program for students to participate in greening their environment.
I would love to try the Manuka Honey & Kelp Soap, sounds heavenly! Thank you.
We walk or ride our bikes and if that isn’t possible we drive a hybrid.

We recycle!!! Also re-usable bags for shopping!!
We do the 3 r’s – recycle, reuse, and reduce, everything we can.
I take my cloth bags faithfully everytime I go shopping-no more plastic bags!
I would like to try the Rosemary Orange Shampoo- the scent must be wonderful!
I use reusable shopping bags and florecent light bulbs.
I would like to try the ear wash for dogs
We try to be green by recycling all of our used paper in my classroom and we do recycle art projects where we use all of or scraps and junk for artwork instead of throwing it away. Really good teachable moment.
I would like to try the baby body wash.
