After much talking.
And cajoling.
And coaxing.
And bribing.
We soaked the crusty, boogary boy in the tub.
And there went Bobby the Boogar.
He unattached himself from the boys neck.
And he went…
Floating in the water…
playing in the tub with the kid and his action figures.
But then…
it was time to get out of the tub.
Time…
to say our goodbyes to
Bobby the Boogar…
as he swirled,
and twirled,
and danced his way
towards the drain.

No tears were shed.
Just smiles.
And waves.
And shared memories of the trip to the doctors office…
and the struggle with the nurse over a throat culture.
Good times. Good. Times.

So…
Good bye Bobby the Boogar.
Happy trails.
May you find yourself a giant rat…
or an alligator…
to cling to, within the tunnels
of the sewer systems.

No pictures were taken of the aftermath.
We want to hold on to the memories of the way Bobby was.
Not how mushy he became in the bathtub.
