My husband came home with tickets to the Fisher Theater last week. “A Bronx Tale” was playing. And it’s his favorite movie…made into a play.
I had NO DESIRE…WHATSOEVER…to see it. An awesome movie that was made into a one man play. With Chaz Palminteri as the one man. BOOORRRRRRRINNNNNNGGGGG!!! Besides…I’m a musical kinda gal. I like walking out of the theater singing!
All day yesterday, day of the play…I had a sense of, well…impending doom.
Then, I thought I was lucky because…I started not feeling well. How awesome was that? I might get out of seeing this play.
Nope…I felt better by 4:30. DAMN!!
Then…
Our babysitter called us…around the same time as I started feeling better…and she cancelled!! YAY!! er…
no such luck because our regular babysitter became available…
Seemed I was stuck.
So…I did what any woman who was going to the theater would do…
I got ready to go. Put on a cute outfit. Put on my face. Put on some odor. And was ready to go…
Off we went.
We ate a quick dinner at a new little restaurant at the theater.
Then…the hour of doom…
the play.
We got in our seats. The lights turned out. And it began…
And I was transfixed. It was AMAZING! Chaz Palminteri…was absolutely incredible. I never knew what a diverse actor he was. It was the quickest 90 minutes of my life!! I LOVED this play from the opening line through the standing ovation!
When the play was over, my husband bought a poster…and we stood in line…
To have it autographed!! And…we got our extremely fuzzy, iphone photo taken with him…
And here it is!! And NO…it’s not from a wax museum. It’s REALLY Chaz Palminteri! And yes, I know…my husbands beard has GOT TO GO. And yes, I know…my hair looks like shit. But look…that’s a real life actor. And I’m standing next to him. And I wasn’t even nervous!! And yes…my husband was annoying the piss out of me because of how excited he was to meet this man! BTW…you might not come out of the theather singing but…you definitely come out talking like New York Mafiosa!!
You are so funny! I’m glad you both had such a good time.
That is too cool!
look at how cute you guys are!
The Bronx Tale in the theatre?! Sounds awesome, it was filmed in my old neighborhood…there’s even a shot of my grandpa walking through. Great film.
BTW I already sound like a NYC Mafiosa
I think that’s fantastic!! I love surprises like that (I know the feeling of hoping a meteor hits your house before you have to go to something you dread).
You look MAHvelous dahling, quit worrying about the hair already.
I like your hubby’s beard, it’s kinda sexy….or maybe that’s just the Chaz effect….
LOL
Glad you had fun!
im glad you had a great time. BUT…take it from someone who lived in LA for a long time…. standing in front of a “real life actor” isnt anything to go crazy over. there just people. people who make a lot of money. too much money. and theyre all short. just sayin’. but other than that…im excited that you were excited!
p.s. your husband looks like howie mandel in that pic. and just for the record…i think howie mandel is really cute.
It looks like you had a lot of fun! I tagged you on my blog btw! =)
